Despite running their functions independently, the president didnt have direct control over them. This was meant to limit political control over government now that most politicians had their own interest at heart. Woodrow Wilson played a great role during the World War I in American history; he was also an advocate of peace and democracy. This was well demonstrated through his well articulated reform agenda public administration. Even when the fast world war broke up, he was a bit reluctant to send his troops while concentrating more on an ambitious plan to transform American but later changed his mind as a result of the emerging threat. After the war was over, he was keen on strengthening ties through a common peace accord leading to his recognition through a Nobel Prize. He also encouraged the formation of a federal reserve while trying to regulate the flow of cash in the economy. Apart from this, he empowered Americans, this was meant to stop discriminated while embracing good policies such as eight-hour work laws, loan provisions to farmers, democracy, the rule of law as well as the recognition of women in society leading to issuance of Identification cards (Tansu, 2009). He was awar e of the then realities in the American society but still experienced today. The American society is still caught up between a bossy tendencies yet some still fight for reform as was the case then.
